Evoblog Playground (beta)

b2evolution CMS is a web builder that you normally download and install on your own web hosting account.

This service (evoblog.com) however, allows you to test your own b2evolution homepage, mini-site, blog, photo gallery, forum or any combination of these without first needing to install b2evolution on your own server.

At this time, this service is offered for evaluation purposes only. After evaluation, you can install b2evolution on your own server and either start from scratch or export what you created here and import it on your own b2evolution installation.

Ok, after a lot of work on the b2evolution core, we're finally back at putting together this playground site so you can have a test drive of b2evolution without needing to install it first.

So far, the available skins on this platform are:

  • All stock "Bootstrap" skins that ship with b2evolution
  • Jared
  • Miniblog
  • Horizon Blog
  • Lava
  • Reporter
  • Business

We've been a bit too ambitious by publishing many new skins combined with b2evo v7 and its new customizer tools.

Thus we have disabled some skins and will re-enable them progressively, after testing them more thoroughly.

b2evo 7.0 coming

We have upgraded this site to b2evolution v7.0, which is the version most of you are waiting for to be able to quickly create your blog or website on this platform.

Unfortunately b2evo v7.0 comes with new bugs which has effectively led to a regression in capabilities for this service.

Please give us a couple of days to iron out the quirks. We'll let you know as soon as everything is ready for your enjoyment! ;)

New skins

We now have a bunch of skins available here to create your blogs / websites.

However, the big thing we still need to so is upgrade this site to b2evolution version 7 so that you can use the visual designer mode to build your site.

It is now technically possible for your to create collections immediately after registering and activating your account.

However we find that the user experience is lacking clarity and we are going to improve it a little bit before announcing this site as open.
